Job Title: Production Line Mechanic
Reports To: Production Manager

Position Summary

The Production Line Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all production line related equipment as well as preventative maintenance on all production equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Setup line equipment daily and assist in training others to setup lines.
Troubleshoot and repair liquid filling equipment such as Cappers, labelers, fillers, torque machines, pumps, etc. Make adjustments as needed.
Complete understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and able to explain/train direct reports. * Able to tear down and diagnose industrial equipment and complete proper PM’s.
Ability to fabricate non existing parts and weld on small projects.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Provides direction and training to less experienced Maintenance Mechanics. * Communication between shifts and proper reporting of completed tasks.
Operate various types of tools & equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform all duties as required in the Stay Safe Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
Maintain cleanliness of shop area.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with Goodwin Company Checks and Balances.

Hands-on or cumulative work experience may substitute for formal training.

3+ years of prior mechanical experience working on liquid filling or industrial equipment in a production facility.

Preferred Skills

Well-organized, results driven, energetic team player with excellent communication skills
Excellent time management skill & ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be a self-starter and able to execute job task with limited supervision.
Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
Solid understanding of safety, industrial hygiene and engineering principals
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
Bilingual (English – Spanish) Preferred but not required.
Willingness to work flexible and extended hours (including weekends).
Ability to operate in a team environment and follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic math and computer skills required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
Must be able to lift 35-45 lbs
